Disliked: We were caught in Hurricane Helene with no power, water, or food. We left early but have not received any compensation. There was food in the refrigerator but we were not allowed to cook, thought the gas stove worked and eventually the food in the refrigerator would go bad.

Very nice , but bathrooms...

Liked: It’s clean, quaint and well maintained.
Disliked: The bathroom in the triple room needs improvement. A tub without some kind shower curtain for the handheld shower causes a MESS and the floors became very slippery. Management needs to do something about it. It is an accident waiting to happen.

Liked: The charm and history of the place. The bed and breakfast style atmosphere and delicious breakfast every morning. Love the snack, cookies, coffee, tea and wine provided at your leisure too.
Disliked: Small shower in the room and the sink plugged up every time you used it but the room was adorable. It could have been a bit bigger. Love the make up service everyday though very nice.

Liked: Very historic and well maintained. Room and entire house was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly.
Disliked: Hospital next door created a lot of noise at night with sirens being pretty frequent and easy to hear. Also it was expected with an older house but floors and bed made a lot of noise. Shower wasn’t best set up and it had the beautiful claw tub but the way the shower curtain was designed made it mostly impossible to take an actual bath.

Liked: Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.
Disliked: 1. Located on a loud main thoroughfare next to a hospital emergency room. Sirens at all hours, medical helicopter flying over. Roaring Harley motorcycles, etc. Interrupted sleep and could not enjoy the outdoor porch.2. When booking there was no mention of lack of an elevator nor that our room was 3 floors up on curving, poorly lit stairs. And we had to schlep our luggage up ourselves. We are in our 70's with arthritis. Unsafe.3. We were not informed our room had no ensuite but had to go into the hallway where a shower curtain connected the two. The shower itself was standup only and could barely turn around in it.4. The fire escape was an elevated window inside the bathroom that you'd need to climb up on the dresser and squeeze through, then on the roof go down wooden stairs. Again - 70's, arthritis, unsafe. Also easy for a young healthy intruder to enter.5. Bathroom was not cleaned daily.6. Breakfast, although tasty, was not a choice and small portions. No seconds were offered.7. Not many electrical outlets. No USB, etc.
