A true Country House hotel...

Liked: Hotel set in a lovely tranquil lawned garden which could be accessed from the patio area out of the drawing room. The bedroom we had overlooked the garden and was wonderfully quiet. We had the windows open and enjoyed the fresh county air and birdsong. The bedroom was large, the bed extremely comfortable and made up in crisp white bedlinen. The bathroom was also large and functioned well though it looked a little dated. Breakfast and Dinner were both delicious, good portions and all the food was thoughtfully prepared and well cooked. A nice selection of local cheeses too. Wine selection very good and a large selection of drink at the bar area. We were very well looked after and enjoyed the elegant furnishings and surroundings of the hotel. A treat to stay somewhere so relaxing and peaceful.
