Dating back to 1438 the historic Cathedral Gate is in the heart of Canterbury. Once slept in by pilgrims the hotel predates the adjoining gateway to Canterbury Cathedral and features wooden beams and sloping floors. The rooms feature a TV telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a hairdryer along with a shared or private bathroom. Some rooms have views of Canterbury Cathedral. Superb

Liked: Excellent. Location - excellent. Room very good and parking , whilst in a public car park was quite satisfactory but adds £40 to a 3 night stay. Breakfast was great.
Disliked: Bit of a tank trap getting in for first night given we didn’t understand what we really had to do - despite the hotels explanation. Not their fault though. Team very helpful over the phone which helped immeasurably.

Great location in the heart...

Liked: Location, staff and service, old and quirky feel.
Disliked: There is some street noise late at night at the front of the hotel. Double beds a bit on the small size
