Nestled on mature grounds Castlemead is in a wooded valley overlooking Manorbier Bay the Pembroke peninsula and the ruins of Manorbier Castle. The beach is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Disappointing

Liked: Location is fantastic. Lovely little village with great pub. Directly opposite Manorbier Castle and only a 5 minute walk from Manorbier Beach. Breakfast was good. Had the full Welsh on first day and my wife had porridge on second day whereas I had scrambler eggs. We didn't eat here in the evening.
Disliked: Our room was tiny (snug double which was very snug) with windows overlooking the car park including from the bathroom. Everything looked tired and grubby with everything shoe-horned in. Nothing seemed to have been cleaned properly for a while and it was all in dire need of an update. Whilst I appreciate the cost of the upkeep of a small hotel like this I would at least expect the windows and light shades to be given a clean.

A lovely old hotel set...

Liked: Fantastic breakfast. The hotel had Old world charm rather than being modern and glitzy. In a fantastic location just a few minutes walk to the beach. Very friendly and accommodating staff and a quiet and peaceful ambience to the hotel.
Disliked: Could do with a few more electrical sockets in the room and a more comfortable mattress.

Friendly family-run hotel.

Liked: Great location for a wedding at Manorbier Castle! We were a family group and the hotel suited us well. Lovely breakfasts and a tasty meal the evening we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The general decor of the reception areas and bedrooms are tired.

Beautiful place to stay

Liked: Amazing location, really comfortable room with a great view of the gardens and sea. Really liked the decor of the hotel, fitted in with the area. Beach only 2 minute walk away. Despite the stormy weather we had a great stay and cannot fault anything at all. Breakfast was really good too, wish we could have eaten in the main restaurant the night before.
Disliked: Wouldn’t recommend the nearby Castle Inn pub for food.

Wonderful location

Liked: The location is excellent, close to a bus route and only a short walk to the beach.
