85th Birthday trip

Liked: Lorna and all the staff were really kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, including providing a complementary birthday cake for my Dad
Disliked: The rooms were a little bit cold. But we understand that it is a very old property

Excellent location

Liked: The view, the room, the breakfast is excellent! We got upgraded and got a very big room with cot for our baby. The view from the room is amazing and the common area with the fire place very great
Disliked: The room was a bit cold despite the additional heater which was not ideal with an 8 months baby

Wonderful place to stay, especially...

Liked: Great location. Great friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Very dog friendly.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Breakfast was outstanding...good variety and choice.
Disliked: Room quite small and quite dated...comfortable non the less.

Very relaxing

Liked: The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The view was stunning from our room and the gardens the room was very clean.
Disliked: It wasn’t that we didn’t like the building but as it’s 900 years old, the interior decoration showed it and needed attention in parts. It was disappointing the evening meals was cancelled but not unexpected, the pub down the road did excellent food at fair prices.
