Wonderful place to stay, especially...

Liked: Great location. Great friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Very dog friendly.
Disliked: Nothing.

Good break on a very...

Liked: Breakfast was outstanding...good variety and choice.
Disliked: Room quite small and quite dated...comfortable non the less.

Very relaxing

Liked: The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The view was stunning from our room and the gardens the room was very clean.
Disliked: It wasn’t that we didn’t like the building but as it’s 900 years old, the interior decoration showed it and needed attention in parts. It was disappointing the evening meals was cancelled but not unexpected, the pub down the road did excellent food at fair prices.

Could've been better

Liked: Good location. Great spot. The bed and room were clean and warm. Plenty of hot water. Main breakfast dish was tasty.
Disliked: the hotel is a little shabby. The small light in the bathroom didn't work. Bathroom was bare and uninviting. Cheap biscuits. Cobwebs. The main breakfast was good but the fruit was old and stale. Could've been better for the price.

Disappointing

Liked: Location is fantastic. Lovely little village with great pub. Directly opposite Manorbier Castle and only a 5 minute walk from Manorbier Beach. Breakfast was good. Had the full Welsh on first day and my wife had porridge on second day whereas I had scrambler eggs. We didn't eat here in the evening.
Disliked: Our room was tiny (snug double which was very snug) with windows overlooking the car park including from the bathroom. Everything looked tired and grubby with everything shoe-horned in. Nothing seemed to have been cleaned properly for a while and it was all in dire need of an update. Whilst I appreciate the cost of the upkeep of a small hotel like this I would at least expect the windows and light shades to be given a clean.
