Liked: The property was built circa 1800 and is located perfectly on the river bank overlooking the railway viaduct. The decor is suitably matched to the age of the property and is like taking a step back to a bygone era. Margaret and her team could not have been more helpful, they provide a very personal touch to your stay and are extremely knowledgeable on the local facilites. We will definately be visiting them again.

Lovely place to stay

Liked: Great Location. Next to the train station. Parking at the house. Castle Vale Park next to the house is worth a visit with walks along the river Tweed. On arrival, we were given a lovely welcome by Tracy, who was very helpful telling us where to go for the evening meal. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Good shower. The views from the room were stunning, excellent cooked breakfast, just wish that it had been a litter warmer.

Great place to stay when...

Liked: Fabulous view of the railway bridge from our bedroom. The room was comfortable and warm. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious homemade bread and very good coffee. The owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a visit to Berwick and the surrounding area.
Disliked: Last time we stayed here, which was a few years ago, there was a refrigerator on the landing containing fresh milk, but this is no longer there. This is a very minor point though, overall we had a very enjoyable stay.
