Not happy

Disliked: Occupants of another room kept us awake all night. We tried to contact the Manager but he was nowhere to be found. Staff were useless and happy to talk about us in the kitchen even though we could hear them. Never again and the Manager was shocking

Liked: Really nice and comfortable place to stay staff great, dinner in restaurant was outstanding, best meal we have had for a while. Lovely choice of coffees and teas in bedroom, which itself was very comfortable indeed. great place, would definitely visit again
Disliked: It was on the A road but we knew that of course , but it means inevitable traffic noise going past the hotel. Not a big issue for us

Nice rooms, great evening meal,...

Liked: Nice rooms, lovely evening meal in the restaurant, have stayed here previously because of the overall experience and hoping it would be the same this time. But too many changes seem to have taken place here now.
Disliked: The advertised ‘ superb’ breakfast is now a one star help yourself continental style buffet. But there was a very poor choice of items, mostly ultra processed foods, not of the best quality products. Left each morning hungry.

Quiet, comfortable and peaceful place

Liked: Lovely peaceful hotel. Good location for me near where I’m working. Happily left to my own devices!
Disliked: Parking is a bit restricted but really wasn’t a problem

A disappointing stay

Liked: James was very accommodating upon our arrival and changed us from a superior front bedroom overlooking the road, to a quieter back bedroom
Disliked: Breakfast was a massive disappointment. No cooked food and a very poor selection of cold offerings. The bathroom needs a deep clean and tatty towels need replacing

Disliked: - Road noise in our room during the night.- After a long day, we checked in at 8pm and asked if we could have a cup of tee, but were told that the kitchen in their restaurant was just closed. Making a cup of tee should not really require much of the kitchen facilities.
