Only go there if you...

Liked: This is a party hostel, don’t go there if you want to sleep. I was in a very big room and wasn’t able to sleep a lot: people left the doors open, the light on and phoned inside the doorm.- nice rooftop terrace
Disliked: - music until 12 in the night, heard everywhere- I was offered weed as well as sex…- stuff is friendly, but doesn’t know the place (asked about a booking, got the wrong information and therefore lost the money)- you feel weird here: there has to be paid a deposit for everything (key, kitchen utensils…), the chairs are fixed to the ground and the roof terrace always smells of weed- no lights in the beds- light curtains as well as light glass doors

Different treatment for POC

Liked: The location is good and hostel is clean
Disliked: I didn't intend to leave a negative review until I learned that if you are white on Hispanic, you can check in any time you arrive, whereas if you are POC, the rule is 15:00. I stayed for four nights with sepepate bookings, and the front desk asked me to clear my stuff and check out and check-in at 15:00 despite the rooms are mostly empty. I thought it was the rule and abided by without questioning. Until yesterday when i came back to the room and saw a girl checked in at 12:30 pm and I was a bit surprised, and the girl told me they just checked her in without asking any question. Then a Japanese lady I met on the same day told me she couldn't check in before 15:00. So today when I went to check out and saw people queueing in front of me to check in, I questioned the staff on the practice, and they were literally like " I do whatever I want. The rule only applied to POC. "

Not the best hostel to...

Liked: Only the position.
Disliked: Very noisy. Common spaces close at 12am but people keep talking around and that’s a very strong echo in the building. Also I could hear all the conversations happening at the reception from my room all night long for the same reason. Beds squeak so it’s very annoying when someone moves. Also, there are no lights in your bed (come on, it’s 2024). Check in happens at any hour of the night, a couple of time the receptionists came at 1am switching on the lights and showing the room to the new guests as if no one was sleeping (seriously?!).Upon arrival at 10:30 pm after a 10 hours journey I had to go back to reception letting them know that there was no mattress cover on my bed, I waited 15 minutes before going back again to ask for it (while the staff was unprofessionally walking around calmly with is phone), and they were like “oh yeah, there you go” handing me my blanket (which btw, was dotted with white painting drops

Passable

Liked: The location is relatively nice as well as the terrace. The lockers are spacious and some of the rooms have private bathroom. The food at the bar is good
Disliked: Kitchen is very dirty and cleaned once a day or less, there are no bowls, plates, etc and you can only get them from the reception two floors down after paying a cash deposit which you receive after you bring them back which can be annoying. There is also no water to drink unless you buy bottled water from the reception.Beds are uncomfortable and rooms are cold at night. You do not receive a real blanket just a bedcover which is pretty thin, you can ask for a blanket at the reception but there is no guarantee they will have a clean one. There is a laundry room, however it is not operational and there are no laundry facilities. You are not allowed outside alcoholic drinks due to the hostel having a bar, however they only sell beer. The quiet hours are an illusion and sometimes the music continues for hours after the terrace closing time, however if you want to access the kitchen before 8am they inform you it is quiet hours and you cannot do that
