Disliked: The room was extremely cold on arrival (although we were able to heat it up pretty quickly)Have been trying to get in touch with the place for 2 weeks to get an invoice - 0 communication and a ton of wasted time from my part, so unfortunately the rating goes drastically down for this place - this is unacceptable

Best place to stay in...

Liked: We've stayed here 4 times now. This hotel is the best affordable hotel in Monterey. We love this place. It's on the edge of downtown. So, it's just far away enough from downtown to be quiet. But close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. It's about a 10-minute walk from fisherman's wharf. The staff in the front office are above and beyond friendly. There is plenty of parking. It may not always be right next to your room. They do charge you to park on site. But it is like $17 dollars a day. Which for some might seem like a lot. But compared to all other spots in town. It's reasonable. It has a heated pool and a restaurant on site. Along with a day spa. It is definitely the only place we will stay while in Monterey.
Disliked: The hotel has become too popular. It's even busy during the cold months. And this is the first time we stayed in the 2 hundred building. It has very soft water. We are not fans of soft water. But if you are. Ask to stay in that building.
