Casa Loma was a decent place to stay for the price. Small and a little cold but what do you expect for an old building in San Francisco. The shared bathroom was not as clean as it could have been but if you just want a cheap place to stay in a good location this is the place.
Liked: Quiet and straight to the point.
Disliked: Shared bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

Good stay for economic budget
Liked: The place was on a good location, budget friendly and very clean. Towels are changed daily and u get a private bathroom.
Disliked: The building itself is old and has that old stuff smell. No elevator. There is no accustic / heat isolation. Overall outdated design but understanable considering its star status.

Passable
Liked: Location was accessible to public transportation and many shops, neighborhood felt safe. There was a fridge and microwave, a heater was provided upon request. Bathroom was modern, soap and towels were provided. We had night tables with lamps and charging ports. Coffee was provided in the lobby every morning. Staff/owner were pleasant. Seemed like a family owned business. A good place to stay if your budget is tight and you have low expectations.
Disliked: The room had a mild odor. The sheets were clean but the comforter was not large enough or thick enough to keep us warm. Room service was sporadic, sometimes the bed was made, sometimes the towels were replaced, the bathroom was never cleaned (we were there for 10 days), the street was a little noisy and we coud hear our neighbor snoring. We discovered we couldn't keep the windows open when we tried to air out the stuffy and slightly smelly room. The bed was lumpy and hard. The carpet was very old and looked dingy. There was plenty of hot water but it took a very long time to heat up in the morning. The building is old and in need of quite a bit of TLC.
