Casa Loma was a decent place to stay for the price. Small and a little cold but what do you expect for an old building in San Francisco. The shared bathroom was not as clean as it could have been but if you just want a cheap place to stay in a good location this is the place.

Disliked: Maybe it's only me, but the room had no desk or the ability for me to sit at my computer and do work comfortably.

Liked: The room was small, but exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed and a great window sitting space to look out over the street below. There was free coffee in the morning and the staff were kind and flexible.

Disliked: No temperature control within the room. We got terrible sleep because it was way too hot, there was nothing we could do, and there were no fans. The shower is painfully small, and we couldn’t shower together. The room was very tiny- I don’t mind a small room but would have preferred a little more warning about just how small it was. It’s a good thing we were traveling light, or there would have been issues. Instructions for arrival weren’t super clear. Didn’t know we needed to use the buzzer for someone to come to the door. Would have appreciated more clear advance notice of parking situation, nearby parking garages open on weekends, etc. we walked about 7 blocks to and from a paid parking lot.

Liked: It seems to be an old original building which I thought was a nice change from the regular old Motel 6. Great location and friendly staff. She gave me a map, told me where to catch the bus and it was close by with busses coming every 10 min. I only waited 1. Cafe latte machine in the front lobby.
Disliked: My bed. I had a twin room with 2 twins. They were both broken down. And there was no cable, just regular tv with a bad connection.

Disliked: It was a bit noisy with the traffic outside. The lighting in the room was terrible. Some more relaxing light options would have made it more comfortable.
