basic good hotel, just not...

Liked: Breakfast was good
Disliked: Bar meals were not really meals as such but it was getting late so we stayed for food. Macaroni Cheese was inedible

Liked: Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. And the bed was very soft.

Liked: I booked the Carlton Hotel on my way north as there was nowhere reasonably priced in Inverness. I'm glad I did and will stay here in future. The staff were very welcoming and gave me a voucher for a free drink and a bag of sweets!The room was large with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Although I chose a room without en suite bathroom the shared bathroom was clean with a big shower.Although the hotel has no car park there are a few spaces on the road outside and a free public car park behind the hotel.
