Carisbrooke Inn Bed & Breakfast, Ventnor City

Great place for overnight stay.

Liked: It is a slightly older property, with the initial feel of the bed and breakfast phenomenon of some years ago. Nice host and hostess. Comfortable and quiet room. Great breakfast.
Disliked: Do not know what the neighborhood is like in high summer season. But it is very close to the boardwalk (100 yards) and beach (110 yards!).

Liked: The breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed the blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries. My husband enjoyed his French toast with a side of fruit. The service at the bed and breakfast was excellent. They have excellent instructions for how to check in, bring your things in, grab your room key and parking. The house is a few feet from the boardwalk! It was nice to have our morning cofee and walk out to the boardwalk in the morning. The room was clean with plenty of towels and toiletries included. Also had a quaint back porch area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch connected to our room, taking in the fresh air and talking. The house had its own living room section with complimentary water, tea and coffee. They also had a jar of homemade chocolate chip cookies my husband loved! It was an old style Victorian type of home...beautiful decor and we had a great time!

Liked: perfect b&b, few minutes walk to the boardwalk. balcony outside which was lovely to sit at night. breakfast was provided by the cafe at the corner, which was excellent. room was a decent size. there is also a communal fridge and cookies were left for residents in the morning, which was a lovely touch.
Disliked: bathroom was a bit small.

Liked: It was very quiet and clean. I loved the breakfasts and ice cream. Close proximity to the beach.
Disliked: Nothing. I just wasn’t prepared to be on top floor so i had to reduce my luggage to a smaller to go bag at the street so I wasn’t lifting heavy larger luggage upstairs. This stay was part of a larger trip so I had a large suitcase for multiple stays between PA and the Jersey Shore. Not thinking about that was my fault because I was so busy before I traveled.
