Liked: Pool good but didn't expect to have to pay £39 each to use the hydrotherapy area, thought it was inclusive.
Disliked: Could have been clear one needed to book well in advance to eat in the restaurants. They were fully booked so had to eat out all three nights we stayed.

Shabby, tired, & nothing special

Liked: Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were awful. Get feather pillows. Instant coffee for a £200 a night room is poor. One of the seats on the balcony is tucked so far into the corner that there is no leg room. Clear the cobwebs away from the balcony before someone checks in. Bath is dated, with black limescale under the taps. Robes are stained brown, especially around the neck area. Staff are miserable and un-smiling. Everyone says ‘Madam’ but it feels strained/false. 2 staff at reception watched me struggle on the stairs with my bag and didn’t offer to help. As a solo female traveller who became very unwell during my stay, I expected some level of care. I had to ask for some food to take away as I’d missed breakfast (after being so sick all night) and the receptionist made it look like an almighty effort to go get me a couple of tiny pastries. She watched me deliriously try to pay with my room card, then drive home without suggesting I take a moment or offering me some water. Uncaring, unthoughtful and cold.
