Liked: The garden setting and historic hotel are sensational. The garden is so pretty and we sat in front of an open fireplace outside into the evening. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable.

Liked: Such a beautiful property, with great character. Nice staff., lovely and clean, rooms heat up nicely, great showers, comfy bed, cool old school tvs in the rooms. Great spot to come from for marathon as you skip all the Queenstown traffic. Nice and central to wanaka, Queenstown, Cromwell etc, but you can get out of hustle and bustle
Disliked: No decent vegan breakfasts (just spread on dry toast), light in the room by where you put your bags need to be lighter (have a light bulb above)

Liked: Check in was a bit confusing, but the staff are brilliant, The atmosphere is really friendly, and accommodating.The beds were comfortable and despite a road front room there was no real noise. Enjoyed the character and the work they have out in to make it comfortable. Would recommend a stay.
Disliked: No fridge.

Liked: LOVED THIS HOTEL ! The garden pub, the room, the bathroom, the restaurant, the facilities! Everything was sooooo nice !
