Pleasant
Liked: The location was great, the rooms were nice and clean.
Disliked: We had to change rooms the first night there because a light would not turn off. Then the rooms are not very sound proof so we got woken up by loud neighbors coming back from partying at 3am. Lastly, after confirming during check-in that my card would not be charged since I pre-paid and they ended up charging me upon check-out. I have been trying to get this sorted for two days and they keep transferring me to different departments without anyone being able to help me.

Exceptional
Liked: Decor, furnishings, room, staff all amazing.
Disliked: Main lobby area had issues with quality of coffee (despite having the best of everything espresso related). Have your staff trained in proper espresso technique - or hire baristas only. Not only is it a waste of that space, its a shame for having terrible coffee that's actually good when done right (proper tamping, transfer, and milk steaming technique).

There are hidden fees. $65...
Liked: I liked the location of the property.
Disliked: There are hidden fees. $65 a night for their valet parking. No free parking is offered with the hotel at all. The other option you have is finding a parking garage close by and walking. Those parking garages were still $35 a day for parking and you had to walk multiple blocks.

Cool Bobo place
Liked: I like it - design and relax style
Disliked: For those who are looking for a traditional breakfast. It is not the place. Not my case., I like the possibility to have a cool one

Service by the staff is...
Liked: Great staff
Disliked: Small rooms that are so damn dark in the name of trying to be trendy like a lot of other new hotels. At least provide the option of being able to adjust lighting brightness. And not sure if it’s just me, but there’s a strange industrial grease smell in the common areas leading to the rooms. Daily housekeeping also doesn’t replace coffee, cups or ‘creamer’ (a bizarre American invention). And PLEASE provide glasses, not plastic cups from the 70’s.The public restrooms downstairs are a disgrace. For one, they are still not completed, and secondly, they are filthy though that’s because they are still a construction site.

Not worth the exorbitant parking...
Liked: Room was nice
Disliked: My husband and I stayed here and were not informed that the parking was valet only. There is an attached parking garage that directs guests to a specific floor for hotel parking, and once you get there, it says that it is reserved for valet. We left the garage and took the car to be parked by the valet. We were charged when the garage connected our tag to my husband's debit card, and then charged a very expensive fee per night for the valet. Each time the valet entered and exited the garage, my husband's card was charged. I have called the hotel multiple times and they promised to call Metropolis to have the charges removed and refunded, and to follow up with my husband. None of this has happened, and we continue to get charged for the parking per day. Don't stay here, the parking alone costs a fortune.
