A truly wonderful hotel

Liked: Centrally located the hotel featured excellent amenities and a pleasant stay.
Disliked: There was nothing to like m, it felt like home.

Liked: Good location from which to explore the city, it was very clean and the room was comfortable.
Disliked: Very loud with several open air bars in the area, popular with University of Texas students. The hotel does provide ear plugs and a white noise machine with every room, and I had no trouble sleeping using the noise machine.

Liked: The hotel was in a great location close to plenty of bars and restaurants. We did get an early check in and the staff was friendly.
Disliked: The price could of been a little better.

Liked: We found the neighbourhood super. It was very centrally located, and the hotel itself was very clean.
Disliked: Noise (afternoon and night): We were extremely disappointed by the noise of a disco directly across from our hotel room. We would not have stayed in the room had we known that our evening would be a true hell night. Staff knew ahead of time that this would be the case as they placed a few ineffectual tools in the room like foam earplugs and a white noise machine. We didn't want to use earplugs as we would then not be aware of our surroundings. To add insult to injury when we opened the shades to see what could be creating such a horrendous volume of noise we were shocked by the extreme level of trash on view just outside our window. It wasn't just a small cavalier incident. Look for yourself at the picture. Danger of diseases? Around 0200 in the morning the disco music stopped, but we were awakened again at 0500 (three hours later), by cars being towed out of the parking garage across from our room. Pool: We had really been looking forward to an afternoon dip in the pool, which had been advertised as being available in the welcoming email we had received, but upon closer it was supposedly booked out by private party, no sign of which was to be seen.
