Disliked: Not clean during the stay for 3 nights. Wet towels, no toilet paper and lots of over flowing trash for 3 nights!

Liked: The location was good for what we were doing in the area.
Disliked: Control of the temperature in the room was a bit difficult - hard to keep it from being a bit too cool or too warm.

great stay with minor issues

Liked: the staff was great and friendly even sent a text to make sure everything was good in the room after arriving and being there for about 5 mins.
Disliked: bed and pillows not exactly comfortable but because I had 4 pillows it made that better. did find some hairs in the shower in the morning that were unfortunately left on the shower walls.

Below value at best. Won’t...

Disliked: Booking.com false advertised our room (so we were told by the hotel). I thought I had booked the Oakes hotel as this is what my confirmation said but seemingly I booked the "offsite" courtyard building next door. This building looked like a motel so lucky enough after paying $70 extra I was able to upgrade to the main building as I would not have felt safe in the offsite location. Parking was also $50 which was disappointing.

Made enjoyable by the room...

Liked: Our stay was made great by James at the front desk beginning with our Friday 10pm arrival until our Monday morning departure. I had originally booked a room for arrival on Friday 9/20 with departure on Sunday 9/22 using American Airlines points. We needed to stay an extra night and I was unable to modify original booking so booked an additional night stay through Booking.com which was a different room type. Upon check-in I mentioned that I had 2 different reservations. As I was traveling with elderly parents, James double checked Saturday evening to be sure our current room (1st reservation) was not reserved for Sunday and in doing so saw that I was an IHG member and was able to allow us to stay in our original room without having to check out and move our belongings. After a busy check in afternoon on Sunday, he had our new keys to the same room waiting for us upon our return to the hotel in the afternoon which was greatly appreciated.
Disliked: The complimentary coffee was unfortunately undrinkable. However, there is a Tim Horton's right around the corner on Maple Ave.
