Desk staff didn't give much information about the building or breakfast. Available parking was limited.

Liked: close to mount royal u for taking my son
Disliked: Bathroom door had poor repairs to three punch holes. Door didn't close. There was hair and tissue paper on bathroom floor and dirt on the heater in bathroom. Very noisy neighbours and house keeping was done after 4:30 pm.

Liked: Very close to Chinook Centre and some good restaurants.
Disliked: Where to begin? The shower curtain was mouldy, the bathroom door had a hole in it and wouldn't close, the number of towels were inadequate, the carpet was stained, the light bulbs in the room were very low wattage, every night was party night for our neighbours, the "continental breakfast" was bread, limited cereal, very watery coffee and dry chocolate chip cookies, our key cards never worked and had to be fixed every day. We renamed it the POS Hotel - figure it out!

Owner cranky and let us know that Howard Johnson corp takes too much of percentage and that he has to charge everything that he can so that he could make any money...he cancelled our check in cards a day early had to get new ones and mentioned to the girl and she said he complains even to them..my suggestion is not to let his relatives stay there and fill with paying customers and treat them w/respect..

Liked: I love great +7 +8 +9 accommodations like anyone but sometimes I hate paying the price if it's not practical for a 1 night stopover . After reading the reviews sometimes you have to read between the lines. This property had good , bad and very bad reviews Honestly I found it ok, polite staff in the office, cheap price, a good clean room, clean linen (a must), and near public transport and shops, gas station nearby. It wasn't perfect but for the price it's ok. I also had my $100 security deposit back in my acct within 48 hrs. Recommend if wanting cheap option.PS It was near a hire Turo car I was picking up the next day.

Disliked: They asked for a ridiculous amount for damage deposit and couldn’t meet a reasonable accommodation.

Disliked: there were people smoking cigarettes and marijuana outside and it smelt terrible. the rooms had a unpleasant smell. they avertised a continental breakfast and it was not offered at all. there was no ice, even though they had ice buckets in the rooms. the bathroom fans are so noisy it sounds like a jet taking off. a very much needed update in general. the reception could've been more accomodating to our situation, in the end it was more work for them and more of a hassle for us. they weren't interested in collaborating with me. the check in desk has metal bars all around it like they were caged in and seemed to imply a dangerous area....
