Located south of Valence in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region Campanile Valence Sud is easily accessible from the E713 highway and the N71 road. A quirky hotel run by...

Liked: The welcome. Lovely staff. Room fine but not sure it justified the label "superior"! We didn't know in advance that reception didn't open until 5pm. We found out from the blurb after we booked. So we timed our journey accordingly. Also we didn't realise the restaurant was closed at weekends. However we were able to buy one pot suppers (pizza also was possible) for dinner and a carafe of wine to have in our room. Cost c. €45. All's well that ends well.
Disliked: There was a table lamp which didnt work, unless maybe we couldn't understand how to make it work!

Liked: the staff is very friendly.
Disliked: First of all that it was not mentioned when booking that the reception closes at 22.30 and if you arrive later you loose your money. Second that the room smelled like fungus when we entered.
