Good
Liked: Super close to Marcel Sembat station, lot of grocery stores, fast food places and restaurant in the area
Disliked: 3 floors are under renovation and it's visible accross the hotel, with construction materials lying in the lobby. Pipe soundproofing is non-existent as you can hear whenever someone flushes in your rinser

DO NOT STAY UNTIL CONSTRUCTION...
Liked: Let me be clear: I'm very English-working-class. I *rarely* ever complain, and it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. But this place should not be listed. The hotel demanded we pay the City tax - even after I showed receipts that we had already paid it!The receptionist seemed to believe I should claim this back from Booking.com - but either way there is a communication problem which shouldn't exist. The place is under construction - everything except the floor we were on.Room covered in dust. Stairways half built, with renovation going on continuously from before 08:00 esch morning. Tools everywhere. Rubbish and tools randomly left on the stairs. Boxes covering passageways. Rolled carpets having to be literally climbed over to exit the building...The lift is one of the tiny ones that wheelchairs don't fit into - should NOT be classed as wheelchair accessible. If you cannot stand, this hotel will not serve you, and I'm tired of hotels pretending to be what they are not. There's also a step and out-swinging door at the lobby, so if you are in a wheelchair you WILL need assistance to open it.Rooms are quite small - which, you get what you paid for, I suppose, but the walls are paper thin. We could hear the other guests across the corridor all night, and they us. None of us were particularly loud. The bathroom has no ventilation. Guess how well that goes in a small room after you use the shower? The beds move constantly on the floor. I'm not sure how anyone can fail to realise that having a mobile, lightweight bedframe on a wooden floor with no rug/material holders would be a bad idea...The location is fine. Near buses/metro (metro is also not wheelchair accessible). Plenty of food options and shopping. The staff were fine. Didn't have much to do with them, but was able to communicate when required. Folks with better French than mine I imagine will manage well enough...

Passable
Liked: Room was really clean.
Disliked: I had to use an eletrical heater provided by the hotel becausethe room was very cool (the room had normal windows, not insulated glazing). The staff was friendly, but not all of them spoke English very well. There was hot water only for the bathtub, but I had to let it run for a few minutes.
