Disappointing

Liked: The location of the hotel is very nice. It is very close to the Perrache metro/tram station, which also has an intercity/international bus terminal. The staff was friendly and polite. The internet was excellent and didn't cause any issues.
Disliked: I don’t even know where to start. First off, I didn’t have high expectations for breakfast, but it was even more disappointing than I imagined.We stayed at the hotel for five nights. I think it was after our third day when we got a call around noon while we were about an hour away from the hotel. They told us that there was a full renovation happening on the 6th floor (where our room was) and that we had to vacate our room immediately. I explained that we were far away and asked if they could wait until the evening, but they insisted we had to leave right away. They even offered to have someone else pack and move our stuff, which, of course, we couldn’t accept. After a bit of back and forth, they finally gave us a few hours to return.So, we had to drop everything, rush back to the hotel, and even spend extra money on transportation. When we arrived, they offered us a room on the 2nd floor. We asked if we could at least have a front-viewed room, and they made it happen, which we appreciated. But honestly, the whole room change process was really unpleasent. If they had told us that earlier (when we checked in or even just a day earlier), it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. But being told to vacate the room immediately was really frustrating.Another issue was how uncomfortable the rooms were. Our first room was a bit bigger, but the second one was tiny (to be fair, they did warn us about that when we asked for a front-facing room). Also, the beds creaked non-stop. The first room had a terrible smell, but the second one didn’t. In the second room, the toilet felt like it was about to break at any moment, which was super stressful.Also, for those who haven't noticed like me, there’s no fridge in the rooms. This could be an issue, especially during the summer.
