Liked: The English fried breakfast was very tasty. Something you would look forward to, actually. The staff were friendly.
Disliked: The rooms were a bit basic, but they were clean. You have to bear in mind this is a two star hotel. The tv remote for one of the two rooms wasn't working. We were moved to an new room for this reason and the remote in the new room wasn't working either, so we just accepted defeat at that point!

Liked: I was pleasantly surprised given some of the reviews on here! Whilst it's certainly not the height of luxury, and clearly hadn't been refurbished for decades, I had a comfortable stay for a bargain price. Wifi was very good and shower worked well. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Liked: Location was excellent for our needs
Disliked: The hotel itself. Okay for workmen, but not for a couple on a leisure trip. Only 1 light worked in the bathroom, one bedside lamp didn't work and the lamp next to the TV didn't work either. Although the carpet had been vacuumed it was very dirty with black marks over it. Although the bath and basin were clean the taps and shower bar on the bath were coming away from the wall. The towel holder ditto. This was room 133. Also the curtain wasn't fully connected to the rail. The whole room was a bit sad.
