Good
Liked: Stayed in one of the apartments was clean and well decorated. The only downside was that it was very nosey with the people above us. You could hear them talking and moving around.

It's a castle. Fantastic
Liked: My wife and I visited the Camelot Castle Hotel for one night on our whirlwind UK/Ireland trip. It was the first accommodation I chose from all localities because I thought, 'Wow! I want to stay in a castle.' The advertisement made the place look stunning. After anticipating this stopover for eight months, we were not disappointed. The place is absolutely stunning; it appears just as it does in their advertisement. I loved sitting in the bar area, in front of a real fire (so good) and the old style lift. The staff were amazing; the service is very professional, and all with a friendly smile. The idea of staying in a themed hotel like this may seem slightly corny, but I highly recommend it; book a stay here and you will feel special.
Disliked: There's nothing to complain about

Very enjoyable stay - would...
Liked: We didn't have breakfast as we left early. Food was nice from the Pizza restaurant. Communal areas are nice and comfortable and well decorated and very clean. Staff very friendly. Location fantastic and we even got a view of the sea from our room which we didn't expect. The bed was very very comfortable. Initially it had feather pillows, I asked for non feather due to being vegetarian and this was sorted out very quickly and with no issues, very pleased with this outcome.
Disliked: We were a little disappointed with the room, the " bathroom " was something we haven't seen before in a hotel. The shower is far too small to use comfortably. Apart from that which as we only stayed a night didn't ruin our stay at all. The room could do with a coat of paint but we were advised the hotel was slowly being refurbished so again that's great. Everything else was good

Disappointing
Liked: The location
Disliked: We asked for a room with a bath, but were told that our classic double room had a shower and if we wanted a bath we would have to upgrade and pay an extra £50 per night. we declined this and were given keys for a first floor room. The ensuite was unbelievable - the size of a wardrobe, so small that the shower curtain touched the toilet bowl! When we complained we were given keys for 209. The ensuite was slightly bigger, but like a plastic pod, similar to one found in a caravan. The shower curtain was so short that water filled the whole cubicle, creating a severe slip hazard. We had to place a bath towel on the floor to soak up the water. The radiator didn't work so we were given a small heater. The sash windows were draughty and the paintwork was pealing, exposing bare cement. We have had better facilities at a £35 per night Travelodge. The upstairs carpets were faded and thread bare in places. The downstairs rooms are so ornate, with paintings, jewellery and elaborate photographs of the owners with celebrities, even Donald Trump!!!

A warm and inviting place...
Liked: The quirkiness of the place, the location and mazing views. Breakfast was lovely and they were happy to accommodate my request which wasn’t on the menu. Staff were friendly and happy to help. A perfect place to recharge your batteries. Accommodated pets, my dog loved it!
