Great place to stay, would...

Liked: Modern, clean, great location-5 minutes walk from the station, great location for the venue my friend and I were coming to Cambridge to visit (Cambridge Junction-10 minutes walk). The provision of a pantry with tea/coffee facilities was gratefully used, a vending machine with snacks , phone chargers and toiletries was also located there which is a great idea too.
Disliked: Only thing I can slightly pick up on is the bed was hard. This may work beautifully for some people so is really just a personal preference more than a complaint about the property itself as I would still recommend others to stay and would definitely stay there again myself.

A great, affordable solo traveller...

Liked: Location was fantastic, super close to the train station and an easy walk to the city centre. Check-in was also easy.
Disliked: Bathroom was very small, couldn't close the door which was odd but bearable as a solo traveller. Would've preferred a kettle in the room over the communal kitchen but personal preference.

Advice - mine was a...

Liked: Pleasant enough small hotel
Disliked: A simple one night stay should have been easy. However, after online booking I was direct to some sort of online intermediary service ‘Chekin’, the purpose of which was not explained or at all clear but which was said to be compulsory. I filled in a few details, but the response I received indicated that the data were not received. This happened three times in total. Lacking any confidence in the procedure, I then considered canceling the booking but by then there was no going back - I was advised that there would be no refund. I also received messages seemingly from Chekin demanding an identical repeat payment in addition to the one I had already made. I seem to have been required to pay twice. (I didn't pay.) Upon reaching the hotel, I had no certainty whether or not I had a bed for the night and I couldn't get in. After standing outside for half an hour in the cold, I finally gained entry to the hotel via calls and SMS messages, but the place was unstaffed meaning that I had to work out which room might have been reserved for me. I finally gained entry to my bedroom, but didn't know that around this time a deposit of fifty English pounds was taken from my account without direct authorization and for reasons which were not entirely clear but might have been security for ‘good behaviour’. I am well behaved, but have no idea when I might be credited this £50 back. This whole episode has left me perplexed. It should have been easy but was anything but, I want my £50 back, and I also want to know what happened to the personal information I input to the Chekin system - which disappeared. I would advise others to consider very carefully whether they wish to have a similar completely unacceptable experience.

Disliked: The door locks. I had a problemwith the code The car parking is expensive given the huge holes to navigate around!

Liked: it was warm.
Disliked: lack of towels, a dirty towel. a threadbare towel, no soap in the shower, a drawer with exposed nails.

Great value

Liked: The room was great size, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice size and clean, offering towels, shampoo etc. There s a tv in the room, you can also cast on it from your phone. Check in is nice and smooth. You can adjust the heating in the room, and open a window if need to.

Liked: It was convenient location and fair price
Disliked: The drains in a shower and sink were not working so my shower was a little uncomfortable.
