Liked: Alright, buckle up buttercup, because I've just returned from a "luxury" stay that redefined my understanding of the phrase "buyer's remorse." Let's call this establishment the "Granite Rest Inn," because sleeping on their mattress felt suspiciously like bedding down on a freshly quarried slab.First, the bed. Oh, the bed. I've encountered softer sidewalks. I've hugged friendlier boulders. It was less a mattress and more a geological survey of sedimentary rock formations. I suspect it was designed by a chiropractor with a vendetta against human spines.I found a mysterious, sticky substance on the nightstand that I'm choosing to believe was artisanal honey, rather than, you know, anything else. Let's just say, they appear to subscribe to the "impressionist" school of cleaning – a vague suggestion of tidiness, open to interpretation.Now, for the pièce de résistance: the price. They charged me the equivalent of a small nation's GDP for the privilege of sleeping on a rock and admiring stained carpets. I could have paid less to stay a week in a Tuscan villa.In conclusion, if you're looking for an experience that will make you appreciate your own humble abode and your own relatively clean sheets, by all means, book a night at the Granite Rest Inn. If you're looking for a good night's sleep and value for your money, I suggest you sleep in your car. At least the seats will be more comfortable, and the dust bunnies will be your own.

Great Value and Great Location

Liked: The location is great, easy to walk downtown. The staff was great, nice size room and quiet at night. I would stay here again without question. It is next to the PGP Arena, so I imagine it might be busy on game nights but it's a good value and very nice place to stay.
