A fine room ruined by...

Liked: The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable.
Disliked: When I walked into the room, there was an extremely loud droning sound and a deeply unpleasant chemical smell. It was so strong I was concerned that perhaps the cleaning staff had mixed bleach and ammonia and created a toxic gas, and the sound made me think a plane was flying closely overhead. Then I realized there was an ozone machine (most often used to remove the smell of cigarette smoke or mildew) running on the desk, which was likely the source of both. There was also a used hand towel thrown on the bathroom counter as well, maybe from maintenance washing their hands? Why was the machine not removed before a guest moved in? A lot of unanswered questions, and despite turning the machine off immediately, the chemical smell the machine created never went away.
