Nice Property with Great Location...
Liked: Couldnt use the Restaurant for Breakfast or any other Dining as was told by the Check In staff that the Restaurant only accepts Physical Credit / Debit Cards and we were only comfortable using a Apple Pay USD Digital Card.Really shocked to hear that a 4Star restaurant in the so called IT Hub of the US does not accept Apple Pay which the US has itself has sold to rest of the world
Disliked: Had a very bad experience with the Check In Staff who am sure the hotel can find out who it is as even though I have his name will not disclose it here. This was the 3rd Cambria Hotel we were checking in the US the other being Houston and New Orleans where the hotel agreed to accept our Apple Pay Digital Card for the Hotel Stay as we had booked the same online against this card. Even though they accept only Physical Cards they were kind enough to understand our problem and accommodated us but when we explained the same to the Check In Guy at Cambria Austin he was very rude and immediately suggested we cancel our Booking after paying the Cancellation Charges if we could not provide a Physical Card. We accept he was well within his rights to demand a Physical Card as per the Hotel Policy but imagine the arrogance and audacity of him to nonchalantly ask us to cancel the reservation and for all he cared we could then go and live on the sidewalk. In all our travels around the world we have never faced a more rude person manning the Front Office. When we told him that the other Cambria Properties did accommodate our request he replied that's their problem and the Austin property doesn't belong to the Cambria Chain which was strange as they bear the Cambria name. When we asked to speak to the Duty Manager, he replied that he was not available. Thankfully we had a Overseas Foreign Currency CC which we most reluctantly had to use paying Higher Exchange Rate and Bank Transaction Fees. I have even complained about this to Booking.Com twice and they have forwarded the complaint to the management at Cambria Austin who have not bothered to respond, If this is indeed the overall attitude of the Cambria Austin Management staff then I would advise to avoid this property like the Covid.

Liked: Like - Location is next to Rainey StDislike- Location is next to Rainey St. If you’re staying over weekend dates be sure to use the free ear plugs in the restroom. There was constant low level booming music sounds till 6am on Saturday.The staff, cleanliness, room comfort, facilities at the hotel are otherwise very good. Also very convenient if you’re using I35 to drive.
