Disliked: It’s ridiculous there’s a guy at the desk asking for passport even though I showed him a VALID US ID, but for some reason he’s demanding for my passport. Bad experience because what if I didn’t have my passport with me? And there’s no saying about this rule on booking. This is so stupid. Even though I’ve been here multiple times and they have my info saved that guy still asking for passport ONLY. Other staff at desk is nice. Idk who’s the guy but he working on march 30

Overall loved the hostel, perfect...

Liked: location, right on the beach, comfortable bed, provided towels, clean and spacious bathroom
Disliked: rusty mini fridge, found someone else's lip gloss under the bed

Liked: Location....half block from a beach scene that can't be beat! There were really cool restaurants across the street and next door. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the kitchen was well organized, my private room was clean. They have bikes to rent. There was a bubble guy on the cliff overlooking the ocean at sunset. Will stay longer next trip!
Disliked: Only one negative.....like in a home, the two toilets are located in the same room as the two showers. SO, if both showers are being used, it can be quite a wait to use "the John". I ended up running over to a restaurant across the street because another woman was waiting to shower. The bathroom spaces are big...perhaps move the sink outside the room and install a door and wall to separate the toilets and showers. Would not be that difficult to fix this problem.

Liked: Location: close to the beach and the best restaurant in SD (Nico’s fish market).
Disliked: The bed was really bad. The A/C did not work. On the first morning I had to ask twice for the breakfast that was supposed to be ready already for 20min.
