A gem of a hotel...

Liked: The room and bathroom was tastefully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. A lovely restaurant offering a very extensive menu for all tastes. I've never seen such a vast and delicious Dessert menu! My food was excellent. On the Monday and Tuesday evenings that I stayed, the restaurant was buzzing and well staffed. It seemed to be very popular with locals. On both nights there were family gatherings celebrating birthdays which says a lot about its reputation.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike!

Lovely

Liked: Stayed in several rooms over a three week period, the rooms were lovely, the food was spot on & the staff were very friendly. It's so nice to stay at Hotel/ Pub/ Restaurant that's obviously a going concern & well used by the locals.......Good atmosphere, open fire with dedicated staff.
Disliked: Room 3 can be a little noisy, as the room is over the main entrance & some of the clients like to stand outside to smoke & chat.

Lovely well needed break

Liked: Excellent location, really lovely hotel with friendly staff and A1 accommodation. Stayed in the deluxe with separate entrance and lovely facilities and furniture. Breakfast really good, would recommend the Calf’s Head - fantastic value for money and really loved our stay

A brilliant base for exploring...

Liked: Very friendly attentive staff. Cute, cosy room in the annex. Very comfy bed. So quiet and tranquil. Excellent breakfast with, once again, great service.
Disliked: To be honest, I don't have a single thing that we didn't like. Our whole stay was pretty perfect.
