Super hotel and location, excellent...

Liked: Lovely building, great location and setting. Food was excellent.
Disliked: Lack of lighting in corridor leading to our room. The en-suite in our room had 3 steps down into it. Some low level safety lighting would be good to negotiate steps in the night. The free standing mirror in our room was broken - better to have a mirror above the dresser. These are observations for improvement but did not spoil our stay at this lovely hotel. Recommending this hotel and would definitely return.

A welcoming place in a...

Liked: A wonderful property with great communal spaces to enjoy. The roaring fire was certainly very welcome in the whiskey room- a great spot to curl up with a brew and a book. Breakfast was brilliant and we dined in the restaurant one evening the food was great and very much value for money with the quality. Staff were wonderful and so attentive.
Disliked: Overall cleanliness- our bathroom wasn’t cleaned to a good enough standard. The shower base was miss fitting and seemed to have warped underfoot this could be a leak that has caused the foundation to be unsettled under the shower tray making it springy.
