Liked: The hotel manager was extremely good. I was stuck in traffic and had to book in late and she was very good about it. I really appreciated that.

Liked: We arrived late after a long delay on the M5, to be met by the smiling, friendly Margaret, who made us feel very welcome. As we were leaving early next day to cycle to Plymouth on the Devon coast to coast ride and would've missed breakfast, Margaret brought croissants, yoghurts and fruit juice etc to our room for the next morning, and even put in a small fridge for us, service above and beyond for such a small hotel. The family room was a good size for the three of us and was great with a couple of comfy chairs and table. For the excellent price, we felt that this was amazing value for money and the hotel was in great condition, a lovingly well cared for imposing Victorian building. We certainly heartily recommend Cairn House as a fab place to stay in Ilfracombe and if back for a visit, look forward to staying there again.
