Liked: Staff were lovely very helpful , breakfast was good also
Disliked: The pool area was disgusting , the pool was murky had hair & a layer of scum floating all around the top of the water it was freezing cold . The hot tub has seen better days tiles coming off & dirty . This massively let the place down

Liked: The location and the facilities
Disliked: We had the most horrific experience, got into bed and the central heating sounded like a jet plane about to take off, we called reception at 10.30 pm and again at 12.40 am and the night porter worked so hard to try and help us In fairness.. I recorded the noise as it got louder and louder, we stayed awake most of the night as there were no other rooms available.. at 1.15 in the morning I booked another hotel for the next 2 nights as there was no way we were going to continue our stay there, we checked out at 7.45 am.. I spoke to the receptionist and told them I expected a full refund, that was on the Friday .. I actually went back on the Sunday as I hadn’t received my money back, I spoke to the manager who immediately refunded the payment.. we were only staying for 3 nights and were so disappointed. The toilet seat was hanging off, the window in the bathrooms handle was broken, the carpet outside on the stairs and hallway was taped with black duct tape, there was mould on the ceiling near the window, the hotel is tired, dirty and smells .. under no circumstances would I recommend this place.

Location perfect for a meet...

Liked: The location for us was just perfect as it is walking distance to my son's house, we came over from Spain for my daughter in laws 40th birthday party. The breakfast was very good too.
Disliked: I just feel that the hotel is in need of a makeover, looking a little dated.

Exceptional

Needs an Overhall.

Liked: The actual bar looked nice.
Disliked: Room 3 and the surrounding corridors were very Tatty, they needs a good overhall including new carpets, plastering, painting, new decor and room furnishings.

Not bad for an overnight...

Liked: Food was exceptional and the staff in the restaurant were lovely and very accommodating. The gym was clean and well equipped. The environment was cool, perfect for exercising. Location is perfect and its outwarding warm and welcoming. So much more could be done with this gem.
Disliked: The premises was dated and in need of refurbishment. The swimming pool wasn't as clean as I would have expected and there was mould on the tiles and some tiles missing. The room was comfortable but the decor and furniture were dated. There was a constant light outside my room window and with no black out curtains it disturbed my sleep.
