The service and food were...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent in the restaurant and the Bar/Bistro.
Disliked: The room was OK, but no phone so unable to contact friend's room before going to meals or setting out for visits. The shower was adequate, but the handbasin was miniscule and the loo was cramped. The WiFi was restricted and unable to access racecourse info and my betting account which was disappointing as main purpose of trip was Kelso Races.

Liked: It's a lovely hotel, right in centre of Melrose. It was perfect for my needs.Staff, aware, I was a female solo traveller, took care to ensure I was comfortable using the lounge bar, where a number of guys were 'relaxed'.I spent a comfortable few hours painting, in peace,

Liked: Lovely, spacious room with a great bathroom. Loved the mushroom burger for dinner and wonderful breakfast!

Warm friendly hotel, clean well...

Liked: It has its own carpark , plenty of choice at breakfast, you could have evening meal save finding somewhere to eat in an evening if you’ve been out for the day, staff very friendly
