Liked: A very comfortable, classic country town hotel, well placed for all that Melrose has to offer. Good car park availability.Lovely attentive staff, great menu of well presented and cooked food. Nice real ales in the bar too!Fan in toilet was very loud and shower water pressure was a tad low.

Tremendous Hotel

Liked: Everything was tremendous. We’ve stayed here a couple of times before and already knew it’s was comfortable and the food excellent but this visit exceeded even our high expectations. We had a wonderful large and comfy hills that overlooked the Eildon Hills. The bed was huge and super comfortable.The food was fantastic and all the staff super friendly and very helpful.Our little dog was welcomed and fussed by everyone.All in all it could not have been more enjoyable.Thank you for a great trip.

Nice hotel

Liked: Nice hotel with friendly staff, single room was pretty comfortable although there was a little bit of noise from the street outside. Breakfast was good.

Comfortable, quiet and clean accommodation...

Liked: Nice clean hotel, room was small but very comfortable and the bedding etc. was perfect. Nice thick curtains so very dark and very quiet. Great sleep. I skipped breakfast but my friends ate and said it was excellent. Beer garden is a bonus and despite the cold weather, we managed to enjoy the sun out there.
Disliked: Hand towel had a tiny blood spot on it, reception provided a new one but could've been a little more apologetic.
