Dirty rooms!
Liked: When you first walk in it looks lovely
Disliked: How dirty the hotel was! We got moved rooms as the first room was disgusting! Place was caked in dust! Carpet was full of dog hair, toilets hadn’t been cleaned. Broken live wires were hanging out next to the bed. Then when we moved rooms somehow it was even worse!!! Caked in dust again, dirty marks all up the walls, pillows were dirty, black mould in the bathroom, radiators were dirty too! Crumbs in the drawers. It was filthy! So I had to leave and find a different hotel. My daughter is asthmatic and the dust was causing her to cough lots.

Not what expected
Liked: The building looks nice from outside and the lobby is lovely.Lady on reception was very helpful.Food for dinner was really nice.Jacuzzi was nice and hot.
Disliked: The room and rest of hotel is very dated, needs work. Example, carpet is very dated and worn in some parts.Rooms felt like needed a refresh.Changing rooms to pool were dirty and felt mouldy (not sure if mould but marks on the walls and edges of floor etc) didnt feel nice getting changed. The service for dinner was a little shocking. We were given our food and when we asked to order more drinks, we were asked to go to the bar and get our own as they cant help with drinks when they are busy.....they wasn't busy at all, loads of tables empty and staff just standing at the back not doing anything and even if was busy, I don't understand with table service how you are expected to get up and get your own drinks. If this was stated to us at the beginning it might have been better but even so, we were given our hot food then expected to go into another room to queue up to get drinks, they didn't say if we can add to our table etc so not sure if expecting you to pay separate then go back to meal - anyway it was really strange. But we did let the receptionist know about this and was very apologetic.

For one night, i had...
Liked: room was very adequate in size. The shower was adequate but not a real good flow to it. And standing in the bath, there was insufficient standing room width wise. so I nearly slipped over. ( there was no mat ) I thought the sink hot tap was too hot. Dangerously scalding hot in fact.I appreciated the heating. which I had on all night. It was cold and I feel the cold. The bed was adequate but mattrass had a spongy feel. No consistency or give in it. And the pillows werent the best or the worst. Just average. Again, no give in them Biscuits, crisps and teas were plentiful, And being in Room 250, i was very near to the housekeepers larderwhich was handy for communication. And very handily located for the gym and pool which I took full advantage of..I have stayed here before. Whilst I appear to be critical, the friendliness and helpfulness always wins through whether in REception, housekeeper, restaurant or the leisure club. I arrived too late to eat this time as it happened.I did appreciate being given an extra half hours checking out time. T oo much time completing my Bulgarian Split Thrusts not to mention my Russian Twists ! There was no noise at any time which is always a bonus and is always a feature of my stay here.
Disliked: I apologise. I have made all my critique in the ' like ' section
