Liked: Lovely surroundings, friendly professional staff, great breakfast with attention to service. Room comfortable and tea, coffee and biscuits supplied.
Disliked: Showers need upgrading as there are no proper mixer taps and water is not a constant temperature.

Liked: Staff were friendly and polite. Nice grounds in a quiet location.
Disliked: When I first entered I thought I had the wrong place and walked into a retirement home. Very dated rooms with creaky floors. Food hugely overpriced. I had fish and chips for nearly £20 where fish had lots of bones and poor quality and bland which I gave up on, the food is barely Wetherspoons quality. WiFi was non existent but to be fair the receptionist did say they were working on a technical issue but no compensation or sorry.

Liked: Very good hotel, clean, a little dated in some parts but room and breakfast were great, and location was ok, went to York and designer outlet, hotel price was great £145 for 2 nights with breakfast
Disliked: Room was basic, would have liked a bit more choice on breakfastBut we would stay again

Disliked: Phone signal poor. Receptionist very pleasant but standard answer to most questions was “I don’t know”, we also overheard him saying this to quite a few other guests. He said he couldn’t order us a taxi, but gave us a list of taxi numbers, which wasn’t very helpful when signal was so poor.
