Great location

Liked: The staff were so lovely and location is perfect. Room was pretty big and the breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: I personally found the tub very uncomfortable, had to wrap a towel around my neck to get comfy.For the price I think it would be nice to have better toiletries in the room and although the bed was comfy, we found the linen a bit hard.

Disliked: Paid booking.com and was charged again at the hotel. When I requested a refund was met with beligwrant unhelpful response from management. Booking.com are rubbish - I still haven’t been reimbursed so I paid for a one night stay in a sub par hotel and paid twice for the privilege !!! Avoid!!!! I stay in burford a lot but will not go anywhere near this place again

Very handy for the town...

Liked: Very central and convenient location but we were at the front and the main road is quite busy. Lots of old world charm with wonky floorboards. Big rolltop bath fine for me but husband struggled to work out shower controls without his glasses on.Breakfast was excellent.

Liked: Location and one member of staff was lovely but serving breakfast ahe had a dirty t shirt Room was ok but at the very top of the building A close inspection of the room made me feel quite ill Dirty shower head, dusty surfaces , bath should have been replaced it had corroded But we had a one night stay and drinks so we were not in the room but 176.00 is extortionate absolutely rubbish accommodation as a wholeWould never ever recommend this accommodation

Tired , Dirty dusty bedrooms...

Liked: The location was excellent .
Disliked: Our room was filthy we put our bags in then we checked in and went off for the day . Came back in the evening and went to bed woke up to realise the furniture / skirtings / blinds were covered in thick dust and obviously had not been cleaned for weeks literally . The mattress was stained , torn and had holes from wear . I complained to a lovely lady chef called Mandy and left my number for the manager to call me asap as I was told the manager was not there and would be back later . We were disgusted ! I did not leave my own perfectly clean house to sleep somewhere dirty and dusty like that . I woke up feeling wheezy in the night , I’m asthmatic and my breathing was bad , we left next morning before seeing the manager as I wanted to go home it ruined my weekend and cut it short as it made me unwell . I will be seeking a full refund !
