Disliked: Several Light bulbs were out in our room so it was quite dark. And some furnishings looking a little tired

Disappointing - this place needs...

Liked: The breakfast was really good. Good local produce and good options.
Disliked: The property itself is very tired with bad ‘sports bar’ branding outside which took away from the style of the building. Our room was a bit dilapidated. The door was broken, the walls were cracked and the bathroom was old and rusty. What was most disappointing is that the shower wasn’t working which is necessary for a stay. It’s a basic facility.The room was also very unclean and dirty. Firstly, we found a large pair of white knickers in the wardrobe from a previous guest (not a nice surprise!), and the bathroom was grimy with dust and dirt on the blinds and pretty much everywhere if you looked closely.I used the bath as the shower wasn’t working and the bath made a horrible, loud gurgling sound once used. Basically the whole building needs a renovation and I wouldn’t stay here again until there was one.

Disliked: Plumbing very noisy. Blocked wash hand basin.Not really an Hotel, more a pub with rooms.No residents lounge.Described as a 5 star hotel, but in reality it has not got a 5 star rating.Window blinds very dusty.The problem with the wash basin was not dealt with.
