Not fancy, but if you...

Liked: Hotel staff were great. Room was clean and pretty comfortable. Parking was convenient. At $55 per night, it was a good deal. It wasn't fancy, by any means, but personally, I don't need fancy. I just need a warm bed and a place to plug in my laptop, and it met those needs nicely. Plus, the dated appearance and fixtures kinda felt nostalgic in a way.
Disliked: When showering, the temperature of the water would fluctuate. It would go from being warm to hot (fortunately not scalding hot). The bathroom floor felt cold, colder than it should be, even in winter. Likely, the fan was pulling cold air in from the outside, as the front door lacked adequate weather stripping (though there were fortunately no noticeable drafts). The bathroom faucet also leaked constantly.That said, none of that would prevent me from staying there again for what I paid. Don't know if I'd want to pay more than $55/night though.

Liked: By far the best thing about this place is the customer service. I arrived early as he booked me in anyway, even though his shift didn't technically start for another 30 minutes. He was polite and engaging every time we crossed paths and was helpful in answering all my questions. The location was also pretty great, being very central. While there is a homeless population issue and they tend to congregate across the road, I never felt in danger.
Disliked: The only things preventing this place from being a ten out of ten are two points I'd like to make.1. There was still food from a previous customer in the fridge, which made me wonder what other cleaning items were overlooked.2. The bathroom was abysmal. The shower leaked about a quart of water an hour. The shower head was tiny and half of it clogged. The tub was slippery and I slid during my only shower - super dangerous. The sink was in desperate need of repair, and any caulking used to cover up cracks was done by an amateur, as it was a thick and messy job. Even some cheap amazon upgrades would bring this review up a full point.Despite all this I'd stay here again if I was traveling solo.

Liked: location good but local sights include some homeless types and nearby stuff is a bit rundown.
Disliked: bathroom would be impossible to clean. extremely dated. water sstains on cceiling, silicone caulking that is 80 years old and appears to be applied by a chronic blind alcoholic. door jamb almost completely destroyed. the type of traveller's motel that would be accommodating to a low key mafia hit man. good value however.
