Liked: The staff made this visit! Friendly, helpful and most of all thoughtful! The staff are a credit to this hotel! Oh and the food is exceptional.
Disliked: Not much really certainly not enough to write about

Very comfortable rooms, hotel atmosphere...

Liked: Our room was really nicely done and very comfortable. Really lovely touches like the Dyson hairdryer in the room and some fresh shortbread on arrival.
Disliked: The hotel was really quiet so it felt a bit empty. We didn’t realise there was no bar which felt strange and didn’t fancy sitting in the empty lounge so we just stuck to the room. The service style was very old school, so perhaps not to our taste.

Liked: The hotel was lovely and welcoming the rooms were delightful and the surrounding areas are stunning
Disliked: disappointed with the total bill and the amount of service charges - having no bar, each and every transaction added in another service charge for both parties even though we were together, this amounted to around £60, not a reflection of the service received. also it is not a cheap venue to begin with and a real treat so this was disappointing. Although it does state that you can have it removed this is an awkward situation and not easy to do when you have kind member of staff.

Liked: Friendly and helpful receptionist when we checked in and checked out Very comfortable room Relaxing, especially in the lounge by the fire Fantastic breakfast
Disliked: No bar, so table service which then comes with a service charge on every order. Was not expecting that.Thought the portion size of dinner was poor and not good value for money. Breakfast, however, was excellent as there was lots of choice on the menu.
