Splendid place to stay in...

Liked: Dave and Yvonne couldn't have given us a warmer welcome or been more hospitable. We were even given a detailed guide on leaving of local attractions. The shower in the room was also amazing just what we needed after our long drive.
Disliked: It was all excellent.

Disliked: Nothing not to like. Its a classic old building. So dont expect the ritz. But that adds to the character

Friendly, welcoming, dog friendly hotel.

Liked: Great location in the centre of Moffat, close to M74, ideal for breaking a long trip North.Easy parking outside. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.The most dog friendly hotel we have stayed in.The food was great.We would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: Beds, although comfortable were only 4’ 6” doubles.

Liked: Very good breakfast in a lovely dining room. Although only b and b during the winter, excellent facilities for having take-away food. Very welcoming staff who were extremely helpful. Very dog friendly. The hotel is packed full of character and charm. My room was comfortable and I slept well. The wet room was great as it enabled me to give my dog a good clean after going for a walk along the river. Excellent location as Moffat is a lovely little historical town, very picturesque and near to the motorway.
Disliked: I felt a little claustrophobic in the room as there was no view through the window. The room size was adequate for one but would have felt a little cramped if two people had been staying in it.
