Very romantic stay with friendly...

Liked: The room we had was exquisite. Very large with plenty of light and lovely furnishings including a large bed and desk. We loved the billiards table.
Disliked: The pool was closed. I ask so couldn’t find anywhere to book spa treatments and only found the room for these just before we left.

Great cottage, good breakfast ....

Liked: Beautiful little castle. The park is beautiful!The cottage is very nice and the rooms also
Disliked: The kitchen of the Cottage is very poorly eqiped : only 4 forks, the knives are useless…The swimming pool was closed…

Our stay was beautiful, comfortable,...

Liked: The House and grounds itself are stunning!! The staff were very welcoming and we were blown away on arrival. We were given an upgrade as the hotel was quiet, thank you!! The secret door felt special. The room was big, with a sofa and lovely and warm. We were at the very top overlooking the back under the weather vain. Sadly I cannot remember the name but it began with K. It had everything we needed, including iron and board, hairdryer and toiletries. There are also USB charging points by the bed, and free Wi-Fi. We did not eat at the house. The restaurant was very quiet and we chose to eat out somewhere else with a bit more atmosphere, sorry, but the restaurant looked lovely. We did use the bar to buy a coffee after a busy day and sat by the burning fire which was gorgeous. Parking was easy out the front while we were there. We had a very large shower, and the place is spotless!
Disliked: loved everything!! so no comment

Lovey to stay but not...

Liked: Room was lovely although a little cold due to age of the building. Lovely decor in the room
Disliked: A little cold and the evening restaurant lacked ambience and character considering the rest of the hotel has abundance. It was nice for a breakfast room but that’s all. Furniture didn’t go with the age of the hotel so felt miss matched. PoolWant in working order

Liked: The accommodation that we stayed in was fantastic
Disliked: I was happy to pay the extra when picking the hotel as I thought the hotel had a pool. Only to get an email on my way to the hotel confirming that the pool was out of action. This should not show on the advert from bookings if not included and should not appear when putting in my requirements

Passable

Liked: Location was perfect for our trip, grounds were lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: We arrived in the hours of darkness, signage was either non existant or very poor, lightning wasn't great and although the staff drew a map to our lodge it was a hunt around in the dark to find it. After arriving at our logde we quickly noticed the tired, run down interior and very poor quality of the decorating that had been done to the lodge. We didn't understand how such poor quality of workmanship had passed any inspection.

Great place for price and...

Liked: The setting. The lodge was spacious. Great breakfast. Fully equipped kitchen.
Disliked: Many ‘small’ problems… lights not working. Stained duvet. Grout missing in bathroom. Some mould. Noisy water pump in kitchen, so not great for the guest staying there.And upon arrival it was 30 degrees in the lodge. So had to open all the windows and doors to cool the place down. The swimming pool was out of use. No lighting around the vehicle charging area. So you can not see what your doing.

Place with great potential but...

Liked: Warm cabin
Disliked: Pool heater was reported broken 3 days before our stay, couldn't have been repaired as an emergency; nothing interesting to do with kids in the place or the area; wedding white chairs in the dining area where everyone are coming with muddy shoes you can imagine how it looks after + the restaurant staff didn't check regularly the stock of the breakfast and the waiting time was about 20min to replenish; the curtains in the cabin were stained, the couches were smelly and with massive stains; in the 2 bathrooms non of the small lighting was working and one of the bedsite lapms the light bulb was only left on top,not installed properly....I mean...really? Additionally, when you accept pets in the place you need to invest more in cleaning (as an advise). The actual Broome Park hotel building is amazing, but needs better cleaning maintenance, cobwebs everywhere. Pitty
