Will stay again when visiting...

Liked: It survived Hurricane Helene flooding. The location and the value were good. Although we didn't use it, the indoor pool is a great feature. The snack bar and offering at breakfast are nice guest services.
Disliked: Waited for 15 minutes at the front desk to ask a question on Sunday before heading out to lunch and never saw any staff at the front desk. Even one of the housekeepers helped to look around for a reception person for me but couldn't find anyone. The room was poorly decorated and cramped and the two queens were terribly uncomfortable.

Very pleased with the cleanliness...

Liked: Clean and looked like it had been remodeled fairly recently. Plenty of hot water. Very quiet. Breakfast was much better than expected. Even had eggs! Lots of choices. Clean breakfast area.
Disliked: Mattress too soft for my liking. Only one bar of soap that we had to keep switching between the shower and the sink. Perhaps a dispenser attached to the shower wall w/ soap would be good.

Liked: The pool was nice, breakfast was ok
Disliked: I booked two nights. In the middle of my first day I was contacted by the Lodge & told I needed to come back because I was late checking out. I had two nights booked, they obviously were confused about that, but I didn't appreciate being hassled during a tour I was on. It made me feel unappreciated as a customer and showed me how quickly a pleasant day can be turned into a panic-ridden disaster

Liked: The location off the highway was good.
Disliked: The exterior was quite nice but the interior was no frills and low budget in its appearance.

Disliked: Pool and gym were rather small.
