If the room got warm...

Liked: The room was great. Four poster in room ten but it was cold and the shower was useless with the pressure rising and falling constantly. The bed was comfy but it just didn't get warm so we left in the early hours.
Disliked: Room temperature and the shower

Liked: Staff was very helpful and breakfast was great!
Disliked: The room was extremely cold at room 36. Heater would only come on for 2 minutes before then going off for 20. Had to ask for extra blankets and stay in the bed only as the room was freezing and also had no milk to make a hot drink.

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful location and good country accomodation. The staff are exceptionally friendly and go the extra mile. Outstanding English country hospitality. Highly recommended.
Disliked: An air freshener spay in the bathroom would be useful.

Run down and in need...

Liked: Quiet location. Near to the canal. Within short drive of places to visit Good for local walks with the dog. Friendly reception. Comfy pillows.Dog treats and poo bags in reception.Pretty garden.
Disliked: The bed was rock hard and the room was cold. It was difficult to figure out how to get the heater to work and when I did, it didn't stay on and heat up the room. The duvet was very thin .I was charged an extra £20 on arrival because I had a dog. This turned a reasonably priced stat into an expensive one and wasn't worth the extra money. The hotel description is "per friendly" and stated there were dog bowls supplied but ithe receptionist said she Was new and didn't know where to find anything when I asked. Needs staff training. I don't see why I was charged £20,my dog was good as gold. Outside in the garden,there were no bins that I could find to dispose of poo bags .The carpets looked in need of a good clean. With a small investment in a few little details,thus would be a fabulous hotel again.

Liked: The staff where great and very helpful and the location is perfect
Disliked: The bar facilities was bad this time with the beer being off and the breakfast was not good at all so Evan though I paid for it I did not have a breakfast.And the price of a bottle of Budweiser was £4.25 which is crazy especially when the draft later was not available. The room had a bath but only had use for a shower as there was no taps so I couldn’t have a bath Evan though there was a bath tub.

Liked: The hospitality at Brooke Marston is outstanding. An exceptionally beautiful country retreat, beautiful traditional English country hospitality. Highly recommended.
Disliked: A little more heating and a spare blanket would not be out of place.
