Surrounded by green rolling hills and idyllically located in on the island of Fyn in Denmark Broholm dates back to the 12th century and has been owned by the same family for 13 generations. The surrounding castle park features a moat a watermill and a lake. Guest rooms are individually decorated in an antique romantic style. All rooms have a seating area and work desk while some have a kitchenette Danish dishes with a French touch are served at the in-house restaurant. The restaurant focuses on seasonal local produce. Common areas include individually decorated salons with antique furnishings wooden panels and a collection of old family portraits from the 17th to 20th century. Svendborg city center is a 15-minute drive away. Svendborg Golf Club is 11 mi from Broholm Castle.

Stunning location. After Legoland we...

Superb

EXCELLENT with flare and taste

Liked: It was the most perfect stay from check in to departure. Not only was it a beautiful place full of history, but the staff were all outstanding. They were very professional whilst warm and supportive to ones needs. The food deserves being considered for Michelin 🌟… and awarded one.
Disliked: There were nothing we did not like.

Romantic castle getaway with great...

Liked: Romantic castle stay on the island of Fyn was a great escape and just another reason to fall in love with Denmark. Room decor was dated but clean and cosy. Grounds were superbly kept and very accessible for guests. Onsite restaurant was very convenient with excellent food and service.
Disliked: The beds and pillows were a bit soft.

Felt like being a house...

Liked: Staying in beautiful castle, very comfy, tea and cake in splendid living room, delicious dinner
Disliked: We had to share the bathrooms but it wasn’t a problem and they were very good (including a hot bath)
