Very nice weekend break, at...

Liked: Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Very comfortable rooms and nice bar and relaxation rooms. Very nice cream tea and breakfast the following morning. All the staff were very helpful and attentive, especially Victor who is extremely kind and helpful.
Disliked: I didn't like the dinner menu. Much too limited and very little food at an extortionate price. Even some of the staff said they wouldn't eat in there! We also found all the cereal bowls hadn't been cleaned properly in the dishwasher and got a staff member to replace them at breakfast.

Staying for family gathering. Nice...

Liked: Lovely old building. Huge rooms. Log fires.
Disliked: Too warm. Duvet/bed covering was too heavy. Also kettle was put away every day. Pain to keep getting it out. Plates for breakfast were huge. We were on a table for six. Just not enough room for six plates, side plates, tea, coffee, toast etc.

Family Get-Together

Liked: I liked the main building, grounds, lounge area with fire. size of hotel room (Deluxe) and the staff. We only had breakfast at the hotel and the service was excellent. Very friendly Reception staff.
Disliked: Conservatory bar felt cold and unwelcoming. The staff did attend to the lack of heat. This area needs an update/refurb.
