A good jumping pff point...

Liked: This is one of the better organized hostels I have seen, cutlery, dishes, and other things in the kitchen were very well-organized. The rooms were simple but what I liked best was the big siting and dining area. There was plenty of space to spread out. An excellent feature of this hostel were several binders of attractions and walks. I photographed these on my phone and used them the next day to find some wonderful hikes, including the Old Man of Stour which I would never have found on my own.
Disliked: The shared bathroom but fortunately there were multiple washrooms and shower stalls, so although I had walk to across the hall, it was still a good deal. It was hard to find and needed some signposts to find it.

Average hostel but not helped...

Liked: Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Squeaky floors, noisy inconsiderate smokers.Smoking out the front with wafts of cigarette smoke going up thru our windows. Foreign speakers mainly Italian and Spanish) groups who speak loudly untilLate at night. Then slam bedroom and toilet doors.

Reasonable accommodation for a short...

Liked: The location of the hostel was perfect, right in the middle of Broadford. The kitchen was large, with lots of utensils and cutlery and there was plenty space in the two fridges to store our food.
Disliked: The room smelled a bit musty, even after keeping the window open overnight, and the parking was a bit hard to find in front of the hostel in the evening when we checked in.

Liked: Well located hostel, if a little tired. Great and friendly staff.

Liked: Extremely nice staff and big communal areas. Very comfy lounge with access to a very well stocked kitchen with all the utensils needed.
Disliked: The rooms were very tiny even with bunk beds and there was a strong smell of old carpet and lots of dust in it. Cleaning could be better.
