Lovely hotel but needs some...

Liked: Both the rooms were great and big, very comfortable and clean! Nicely decorated!
Disliked: We were very disappointed by our overall experience at the hotel. We were coming down from London to see a theatre show. We arrived with an hour before we needed to leave to go to the show however we had to wait almost 30mins until we could check in. This then meant we had to leave almost immediately after entering our room. This was a stressful experience for my slightly older mum and for myself who had just started my A/L after working very hard for 5months. The next morning when we came to get a coffee at the bar we were greeted by quite a grumpy staff member who when I asked if I could have my coffee in a normal mug and not a take away cup, this was refused. We were also told we could get access to the spa for £10 but as we weren’t told this was only when we were checked into the hotel we had to pay £20 each to go to the Spa and if we had been told it was more expensive when checked out we would have gone when we were still checked in.This was really disappointing as the hotel was lovely and very comfortable and great location, but it was clear that there not enough of the staff and a really bad management style where the staff were overworked and therefore grumpy or unable to complete some of the tasks needed.

Good

Liked: Nautical theme friendly and great location. Modern rooms and bathrooms and gin! Super comfy beds and lots of cushions/ pillows
Disliked: No bottle opener for complimentary tonic / can't open window / no air conditioning but heating good - too hot at times but can be turned off
