Exceptional

Liked: Though on a main road and islolated, I liked the rural setting in which the hotel is located. The walk from Burscough Junction station took 25 minutes but was worth it. Leaving later for the evening out by bus to Ormskirk the bus stop was conveniently situated just outside.On the morning, two members of staff went out of their way to help me select an alternative way of travelling home to London because of train cacellations. My revised route was taxi to Ormskirk, train to Walton, replacement bus to Moorfields, train again to Lime Street and finally, train to London Euston.Altogether it was a most comfortable and peaceful stay at what I describe as facilities of a high standard.

Liked: Everything was very good, just had a problem with the bathroom which I have discussed with the manager.

Disliked: The room was cold couldn't get any heating on.We did mention this to the receptionist as we left.

Liked: The staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had a good selection, with the cooked breakfast being cooked and served rather than sitting for ages on hot plates.
Disliked: Nothing.

Brilliant place to stay

Liked: Such a friendly family run hotel. Lovely food and drinks and comfortable beds. Staff are all very good too Close to our so sons family too and always accommodate our family for meals etc too x
