Staff was very friendly. A very unique hotel and a great use of a historic building. Chicago could learn a bit or two from you Milwaukee!

A Milwaukee gem!

Liked: Such a cool place that kept original brick work and the beer vats. Quiet rooms with plenty of space
Disliked: Valet was slow but they only had one worker so to be expected

Comfortable stay at a renovated...

Liked: I had a queen studio suite, which was one large room with full shower bathroom on the ground floor. The room had a kitchenette but I only used the refrigerator and sink. The bed was comfortable and there was a desk, a high-top seating area, an armchair and a bench. I had a continental breakfast included and that was ok. The hotel building itself is quite interesting and well-renovated, with a view of huge vats formerly used for brewing beer on the second floor. The restaurant had typical bar-type food (at lunch, at least).
Disliked: The lighting in my room was a bit dim. The room looked out onto an outdoor patio for the restaurant and got a bit noisy when a large group was there, and therefore it seemed less private if you wanted to have the window shade fully open. The surrounding area has a few places to eat and a small grocery across the street, and it is architecturally quite interesting with various brewery-related buildings nearly, but it was at least a twenty-minute walk to the central business and entertainment area of Milwaukee.

Disliked: Lumpy duvet and pillows and too soft bed. Liked the room but it was a bit overfill with furniture for the shape and size.
