Charming B&B in Auckland!
Liked: With a great location beside the University and close to Albert Park, Braemar is a very interesting and lovely period home. The hosts, John and Mel, were wonderful, and there were comfortable common areas offering tea and other drinks. John provided useful suggestions about activities and lots of information about Auckland and the house itself. The breakfast was great! I wish we could have stayed longer.
Disliked: I'm not a big fan of shared washrooms, but this actually worked out fine as there weren't many people sharing the same one. Also, we had a sink in our room, so that helped.

Excelente hotel
Liked: The hotel is beautiful, old but very well maintained and restored. John, the host and owner is charming, friendly and very good at providing information about the city and places to visit. Breakfast was delicious and excellent company.
Disliked: The only thing I didn't like was that if you go with a heavy suitcase you have to carry it up the stairs.

An interesting difference to an anonymous hotel.

Disliked: Had some confusion over the room booking and didnt get the upgraded room but the owner did reimburse the extra.
