Liked: Excellent staff. Pretty rooms. Great location.
Disliked: I had to ask for a kettle... should be standard. Would have liked a robe. Shame there isn't a bar in the hotel but lots close by.

Absolutely go back to visit.

Perfect hotel for a weekend,...

Liked: Reception desk was professional; breakfast staff was exceptional - we had nice chats and good laughs! The room, bedding and bath(room) were great. Location was excellent!
Disliked: Lounge chairs in the room need a good cleaning! Parking is a hassle - make sure to call ahead for parking information. The hotel does not have a private park garage; there are public garages within 5 - 20 minute walking. The closer, the more expensive. We ended up parking at the University Garage and that was well priced for Zurich.

Good for location, not good...

Liked: The location was excellent to hop on any of the trains, for walking to shopping, and lots of tourist-friendly restaurants & bars.
Disliked: Outside of the location, the amenities left much to be desired. Every thing was in good shape and. Lean EXCEPT my shower bathroom. There was literally black mold everywhere in the shower. This included the grout, caulking, and wall tiles.

Lovely staff and good location

Liked: The staff were warm and friendly. They even upgraded our room when we arrived. They have a beautiful library room to lounge. Beds were very comfortable. Great location in Zurich to explore.
Disliked: The 4th floor had a cigar room and it filled the hallways with smoke. Couldn’t avoid it because that’s where the breakfast was.

Exceptional

We enjoyed walking around Zurich...

Liked: Excellent breakfast - Little gluten free bread loaves were provide on request and were very tasty. Location is very good for sightseeing Old Town with access to lots of good restaurants. Good access to walk along the river and to lake and pretty close to the designer shopping and FIFA Museum. Close to most transit options. Note, the hotel is in a 'pedestrian only' zone so you have to walk with luggage to/from transit, but it is not far - about 10 minutes.
Disliked: Although room was very clean overall, the makeup mirror and extension bars were forgotten in the cleaning process. Room was a bit warm even after adjusting the temp, so we opened windows, which means you get some noise from people in the street. There is construction throughout much of the old town area, sections of streets are ripped up, perhaps replacing underground pipes. During the weekend they were not working, but on Monday morning they were hard at it, so expect noise.
