Excellent stay

Liked: Location was ideal right by the sea had lovely view while having breakfast staff throughout were excellent would definitely consider staying again
Disliked: The only problem was we couldn't get WiFi but that was only issue and didn't spoil our stay

Disappointed.. and cold!

Disliked: We were disappointed with how run-down the room was. We thought we would treat ourselves and pay for a more expensive hotel than we normally would as we spend a weekend away in Bournemouth every Christmas. I understand I may have misjudged that the cottage room was not a renovated room, but I still can’t find this detailed on their website. Booking a ‘deluxe’ room implied to me that this would be a luxurious stay. Re looking over the photo on the website, I do believe it gives false impressions on what you actually get for the price. When the man at reception asked if we were happy, once we checked in, I kindly explained I wasn’t too happy - his response was “well that was the room you booked” which showed a total lack of care for our experience. So I wasn’t best pleased. But to top it off, the room was freezing. We asked for an additional heater, as the radiator by the bed wasn’t working properly. But this heater was broken & gave off next to no heat- it didn’t even stand up. So we spent most of the night very very cold. I did explain this to a lady at reception when checking out but, again, I wasn’t too happy with the apology. I would expect far more from a Marriott & spending over a £100 on a one night stay.

10/10 would stay again

Liked: beautiful hotel with a very large room. staff was absolutely excellent. Pillows were so comfy I wanted to take them home
Disliked: shower seemed a bit unnecessarily complicated
